Our Real Estate Group represents clients locally and nationally on a full array of complex issues within the real estate industry. Our clients include developers, lenders, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and investors. Our attorneys are skilled in all aspects of real estate transactions including acquisitions and sales, joint ventures, development, construction lending, financing, mezzanine lending, workouts, restructurings, REITs and commercial lending.
Acquisitions and Sales
Our Real Estate Group has expertise in: acquisitions and sales; joint ventures, limited liability companies and partnership transactions; ground lease transactions; common interest ownership transactions; and acquisitions of property for REITs.
Our Real Estate Group has extensive experience in complicated financing transactions for lenders and borrowers in connection with the acquisition, construction, development, refinancing and sale of commercial, retail, industrial, health care and rental properties.
Financing transactions on which the firm has advised include securitized loans, construction loans, bridge and permanent financings, mezzanine financings, loan portfolio acquisition financings, participating and convertible mortgage loans, subordinated financings, credit-enhanced facilities, syndicated and participated loans, ground lease financings and common interest ownership financings.
We represent a number of landlords and tenants locally and across the country. In addition to handling large and complex lease negotiations for owners and tenants, we have expertise in office buildings, restaurants, shopping centers and other retail facilities, health care facilities, industrial warehouse facilities, ground leases and subleases.
Our Real Estate Group has a strong focus on the representation of clients in the acquisition, financing, development and sale of all types of properties, unimproved and improved, residential and commercial use, including major office buildings, shopping centers, condominiums and multi-family housing projects throughout the United States. Our lawyers routinely advise and represent clients on a wide array of real estate development matters, including: acquisition, development, operation and sales of ground-up development projects; due diligence, negotiation, documentation and closing of real estate acquisitions and sales; structuring of financing transactions; negotiation and drafting of operative instruments, including limited liability companies, partnerships and joint ventures; and negotiation and drafting of development agreements, management agreements, condominium documents, easements, restrictive covenants and other agreements related to real estate development.
Our attorneys represent clients in a full range of affordable housing, multifamily housing and community development matters, including federal, state and local housing programs and issues. We advise clients on strategic planning issues, development and tax matters, and transaction closings.
